A quick history of all things Offkey. In 2015 Steve Whiteley wanted to incorporate his experience as a comedy improviser into the world of producing film content. So he launched a YouTube channel, collaborating with a bunch of creative and funny people to make a series of sketches, which were featured in Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post, The Metro and more. This led to producing an array of comedy branded film content. The YouTube channel was nominated for ‘Best Internet Programme’ at the British Comedy Awards, whilst the branded content work led to a nomination for a Cannes YDA producer of the year award.
Fast forward to 2022 and our scripted work has led to Channel 4 and BBC Radio 4 pilot commissions, been nominated for an Edinburgh TV Festival New Voices Award for Best New Pilot, the 1.4 Awards and won a couple of Lovie Awards. Our shorts have screened at BAFTA and Oscar qualifying film festivals including Palm Springs ShortFest, Rhodes Islands Intl Film Festival, Encounters and more. And our branded content films have accumulated millions of views across social media. So we’re like big time now.
